Wading Through The Choices To Pick The Perfect Vacuum
Cleaner
If you're like most people, you've had your old
vacuum cleaner for years.
Then one day you realize it just isn't working
as well as it once did, so you decide it's time to get a new
one. So you head to the store only to find out there are now
seemingly a bazillion choices. Where did all these newfangled
machines come from and how do they work? And which one is best
for the job you need it to do?
First do you want a vacuum with bags like you
probably have now, or one without a bag? The newer models
without bags are certainly more convenient. It's easy to see
when it needs to be emptied, and there's no more fumbling with
getting the bag on the hose or worrying about if the bags you
have are right for your model.
Do you need the extra power of a commercial
vacuum cleaner or will a standard vacuum cleaner do the trick?
Remember most vacuums are made to be used about 2 hours a week,
so if you use yours more, a commercial vac might be what you
need.
Do you want a canister, upright or backpack
vacuum cleaner? Backpacks will allow you to easily reach places
you couldn't reach before, but do you really want to clean with
a 10 pound weight on your back?
How about a steam vacuum cleaner? If your
carpet is really dirty, or even stained, before you decide to
replace it you might try one of these. You may find your carpet
looking as good as new.
And if you just don't have time to vacuum (or
just don't want to be bothered), then a robot vacuum cleaner
will do it all for you.
There are so many choices that sometimes it's
hard to decide. Learn as much as you can about each one. It
will make the final decision much easier for you.
