The Commercial Vacuum Cleaner - Extra Power And
Durability
Let's start with a quick history lesson. Hubert Cecil Booth
invented the first vacuum cleaner.
It's hard to imagine that Mr. Booth could have envisioned
the number, variety and power of machines that have arrived 100
years after he made the first one. You see, Booth's vacuum
cleaner was massive, so large in fact that it had to be pulled
by horses. He first demonstrated his unit in a restaurant. The
unit stayed outside while the hoses were run through the
windows to do the cleaning.
Fast forward a century and there are models for just about
everything you can imagine. Vacuums are made to clean
everything from houses to commercial vacuum
cleaners designed to clean the dirtiest warehouses.
You don't have to worry about a massive horse drawn model, but
you do have to decide what model is best for you. The first
thing you need to know is how much you will be using your
vacuum. Manufacturers expect a typical machine to be used under
two hours a week. That is the usage most home models are
designed for. If that seems way to low for your plans then you
should seriously look into getting a commercial vacuum cleaner.
These vacuums are designed to be used 10 to 15 hours
weekly.
Who used a vacuum cleaner that much? Well perhaps you own a
store, or maybe you run a house cleaning service. In either
case, this type of machine is better for you. A commercial unit
is build differently. It has a bigger motor, a wider hose and
thicker cords. You can probably get one for around $200 dollars
and they will last much longer than a standard home model.
Many of these vacuums use a cloth bag to hold
dirt. It's heavy duty and often multi-layered. That means you
don't have to change it every time you fill it. Instead it is
emptied out then the bag is put back on. No more money spent
frequently replacing bags. And whether you prefer an upright,
canister or backpack vacuum, you can find one in a commercial
variety. The one you choose is simply a matter of personal
preference.
History tells us that it was actually James Murray Spangler
that invented what would be considered the first modern vacuum
cleaner. That was back in 1907. His model was the first
electric portable vacuum. The modern commercial vacuum cleaner
is now available to anyone who needs a little extra power and
durability.
